I started with a small dime sized piece of OG bounce about 4 years ago and it’s grown to what you see here. With numerous frags to experiment on I’ve gone ahead and tried different locations within my tank. Trying to find out the best spot for them to grow in terms of flow & lighting.
In my experience I have not noticed more bubbles higher up under higher intensity. Rather a different shape of the nodules that are produced higher up under higher par. It may be tough to see but here is a picture of the mother colony up top vs the mother colony lower on the right side. In my experience the lower lighting causes more “bounce” than the higher lighting.
