I need some input in the gigantea I am planning to buy, is it partially bleached or it is really green with a hint of blue/purple?

It does not look like it is completely bleach. That should not be a problem. If it has not been deflating at the LFS, it should be fine. Color will return very quickly once it get establish in your tnak.
How long has it been at the LFS?
Take the rock with it, no not attempt to remove the rock. You can tell the LFS that you can return the rock once it craw off of it. Put a deposit if needed, or just buy the rock.
Remove anemone from the rock is what casue the great majority of the injury.

So this is a purple gig? Not a special “green with purple”. :)

It is hard to get healthy Magnifica and Giganea. My tank partially crashed and I loss a lot of my large animals. I was able to save on Green Gigantea and two Crocea. I turn my DT to FOWLR now and just a 40 gal breeder that was by QT to my reef. I am slowly getting a few things in it.

That sucks! You have the most healthy and beautiful anemones I have seen and your old posts made me dip my hands into carpets. It took me years before deciding to turn half of my tank into a nem haven. But anyway, good luck and hope to see your tank full and running well again.

You purchased this before I could... I asked for a video. Once I saw it went to buy and was out of stock... Congrats
Lol… I have been calling and messaging them for a pic or video under white light and last night they sent the video. Actually I am a bit weary on the real color but heck I bought it and will see if it is worth the money. I’ve got a purple from them but was listed as a blue. It is huge and bigger than the size they have advertised.

thanks, I will let you see in a few months if this one will color up good.

My guess is it will be a unique color blend between green brown and yellow. You should have a colorful gem on your hands.

If you’re lucky it may turn into an iridescent rainbow coloratio. It sounds better than you may imagine though, as most brown gigs are predominantly brown/tan in coloration.

If you’re looking for a colored gig—purple, blue, green, or red—those colors will always be prominent and very obvious no matter how bleached it is. If it doesn’t have color, then it’ll be tan/brown.

I am too curious to see what color it will be once acclimated and healthy.

Thank you for your insights, I do really appreciate it.

After a week in my observation tank, it started to go inflate and seflate, treated with cipro but didn’t make it.
That's a bummer. I ordered the most recent green and completely brown gigs from them last week.

The green melted in 2 days w/ cipro.

Brown is still going hasn't shown infection signs yet.
