Very nice. If you do split him, let me know if you'd be willing to sell him.

Are you thinking of cultivating the white growth? If so, I'm curious how would you do it? I'm thinking something similar to brooding clown fish larva

No… honestly I’m not sure how to positively ID the sex without cutting them open. You can kinda see through the column, but it’s hard to distinguish between digestive organs and what might be sexual organs through the column and foot. If anyone has a good way to ID this I’m all ears!
Something about shining a light through them, taking pictures, then sending those photos to an authority. Man I wonder if TY could find that authority!

I tried, I was floating it in a little Petri dish, but eventually the Petri dish sank and I lost it.

Curious as to which gig were you going to cut? Successful spawning would be amazing! It would be quite awesome to someday see little gigs growing in your tank/sump!

Thank you so much for the picture! I just love seeing healthy gigantea! You are a very brace man to consider cutting that! That is one spectacular specimen! I've been looking for one like that for years! Best of luck with this one, either with the sexual reproduction or the voluntary fission you may attempt later!

@gig 'em, brother if you do propogate please let know, I'll certainly buy a split from you.

On a separate note, I thought elko had them playing very well for his first game. I think yall found a great coach. Give him time to instill winning, hard nose culture, and yall are off to the races. I really wanted yall to beat ND!
