Second bonus entry:

Once I have my back-ordered Mitras LX7 in hand, and installed, the next piece of GHL equipment at the top of my wish list is the new Doser 2.1.

Two reasons I want one:
a. The ability to dose with 0.1ml increments versus the 1ml increments of the dosers I'm using right now.
b. It's my understanding they pumps on it can be run 'continuously' which means I would be able to handle both two-part dosing AND ato top-off with just one 3-pump, doser unit.

Due to some unforeseen circumstances and to be fair to everyone this contest has been extended through May 21st.

Thank you.

Hi,

thanks to David for allowing to extend this contest.

Due to the huge amount of orders for the Mitras LX 7 (and for the ProfuiLux 4) we had quite long shipping times up to several weeks.

It would just not have been fair to end the contest before giving more people a chance to participate, so we decided to extend it until May 21st, midnight EST.

Drawing will be May 22nd.

Good luck to all!

I'm a little confuse about the contest. It said for future LX owner to have a chance in the contest, then how come one of the requirement is to have a picture of the light fixture on your tank? It would be impossible for future owner to have a picture of the fixture.

Future as in if you don't already own a LX7 pendant. You still have time to acquire one and make your entry before the end date.

I thought in the USA a contest could not require it's participants to buy something from them to be able to participate. If someone has to buy a light that costs $750.00 just to enter then they win the gift certificate, they aren't winning $1000.00. So you are NOT including future GHL owners. Only current owners of a specific, very expensive item.

I received my lights a few weeks back and can now officially enter. Thank you for extending this contest!

My first impression is that this is a very robust product. The power supplies are purpose built LED power supplies that are IP67 rated. They even have built-in tabs for wall mounting. The LED luminaries themselves are solid and fairly heavy.

I'm running (2) LX7206 units over a 48" tank (Reefer 350). I have the units ceiling mounted ~12" above the water. I started with a light project from the GHL site "10hr SPS 17K Schedule" and modified that slightly to my taste. I adjusted the peak light to ~15k, 100% brightness with the majority of the time @ 17k 90% brightness. Total photo period of 12hr's including ramping.

Bonus before and after. I will say I prefer the T5 picture, but I think that's better editing. I haven't found the perfect settings in Lightroom for the Mitras yet. But in person, the Mitras is better.

Double bonus round!
I'm really interested in the upcoming Alk monitor, but since that's not on the website yet, I'd like to have a Profilux 4. I'm assuming there will be some synergy between the Profilux and Alk monitor so I might end up with both.

Bonus entry, I'd love to switch my apex system out for the profilux 4. That or order a second mitras, I may need 2 for my tank but we will see (and I could only find 1 stock anywhere!)
