So a few weeks ago I ordered a sps summer sale on 6 corals and one of them being the GC Ultimate Efflo.

It came the next day by 12 PM PT, I noticed some white on it, I showed it to the seller and he said it should be fine.

Below are some pics of in the bag, a few days in the tank and pics from today, overall about 2 weeks in my tank.

Just wanted some opinions as I believe they look like they will be recovering.

That's horrendous...........it's a very hardy coral, but it looks like it wasn't healthy before being shipped.

Did you see pictures of that frag before it was shipped? How were the other frags..........color/polyp extension?

Unfortunately not, I never had issues with this seller in the past. I had other shipments and they came in great.
The other corals PE and coloring are doing well, even the one GARF Bonsai that had water leaked out of the bag is slowly coming around

Looks like it's healing up fine.

I don't understand why sellers still use bags. The best I've seen are cups with the plug in Styrofoam. Can't be much more than a bag. Buy in bulk, an extra $1 or $2?
Saves a lot in headaches of broken/leaking bags and replacements.

Thanks for confirmation.

This seller sells his corals already for a good price, I got this and I want to say 6 corals for $135 to include shipping but he did add a packing fee of $10.

The corals that came with this sale is:

GC Ultimate Efflo
GARF Bonsai
Green slimer
Green Digitata variant
JF Sour Twist
Purple Capping monti (iirc)

Make a habit of buying corals that are WYSIWYG.

If they are cut to order tell them you want pictures of the frags before they are shipped for your approval. If they won't do that then buy from someone else.

This will save you a lot of grief in the long run. This is standard buying procedure for me.

There are two vendors that I’ve used the most on R2R. One does use the cup/styro combo and nary a problem ever. Plus the the cups can be reused or repurposed for other household storage (tacks and clips for example). The other uses bags but and this is big but, uses medicine cups for smaller corals and larger clear plastic short cups and punches a hole in them and the plug is nestled inside. That’s worked very well also. Letting them “rattle” loosely in a bag is a terrible idea considering the prices of some corals.
Hope your piece makes it.
