Anyone on here keep garden eels?

I currently keep 3 spotted garden eels (Heteroconger hassi) in my planted reef with 4 Hippocampus erectus seahorses, a Janss pipefish, a dragonface pipefish, a red sea Trimma goby, a green banded goby, a masked goby, a firefish, a tailspot blenny, a pair of mandarin dragonets, a trio of yellowheaded jawfish, a blue flasher wrasse, a royal flasher wrasse, and a pair of ocellaris clowns. They've been doing wonderfully so far, almost always have their heads out of the sand, eating well, and don't bother their tankmates or run from their tankmates (though all their tankmates are very mellow, gentle fish). Sand bed ranges from 4"-8" depending on the spot in the tank and how close it is to a jawfish burrow, since they tend to excavate a lot of the sand near their burrows.

36 gallon bowfront, sand ranges from 4-8", depending on how close it is to a jawfish burrow since they tend to excavate a lot.

4 total, hoping to add a few more at some point

Just edited from 3 to 4, as I thought I lost one a few weeks ago, only to find him up front and perfectly fine today.

Honestly, peaceful tankmates, multiple feedings of frozen (they love mysis) per day, and a deep sand bed (ideally 6"+) and they thrive

do you have to constantly aerate the sand to prevent toxic build up or do the eels and jaws do it for you?
Eels, jaws, and some nassarius. Plus 2 xl Florida Fighting conchs
