Anyone on here keep garden eels?
I currently keep 3 spotted garden eels (Heteroconger hassi) in my planted reef with 4 Hippocampus erectus seahorses, a Janss pipefish, a dragonface pipefish, a red sea Trimma goby, a green banded goby, a masked goby, a firefish, a tailspot blenny, a pair of mandarin dragonets, a trio of yellowheaded jawfish, a blue flasher wrasse, a royal flasher wrasse, and a pair of ocellaris clowns. They've been doing wonderfully so far, almost always have their heads out of the sand, eating well, and don't bother their tankmates or run from their tankmates (though all their tankmates are very mellow, gentle fish). Sand bed ranges from 4"-8" depending on the spot in the tank and how close it is to a jawfish burrow, since they tend to excavate a lot of the sand near their burrows.
