I have this colony on the bottom of the tank...all the way in a corner. I guess probably under 150 to 170 par. I use only leds. Imo they don't require intense lighting at all.

I had mine under a ledge on the bottom but moved them to the front corner today. Thinking the par was right but not enough direct light to do the job,
