From Glass to Glory: 200-Gallon Reef Tank Project

Welcome to my 200-gallon reef tank build thread! I’m super excited to dive into this project and share all the ups and downs of setting up my saltwater aquarium. The home delivery of my 200-gallon aquarium went off without a hitch! Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition, thanks to the excellent coordination and care from the delivery team. My son was thrilled and couldn’t resist posing in front of it for a photo. Seeing him standing there, excited and ready to help with the setup, really made the whole process feel even more special. Looking forward to the next steps and getting this tank up and running!

I went with the Innovative Marine 200-gallon EXT because it’s just what I was looking for in a top-notch reef tank. The design is sleek and modern, and the glass is super clear, giving an awesome view of the reef. Plus, the size and features let me create a diverse and exciting marine environment. Overall, it’s a great blend of style and practicality that fits perfectly with my vision for the tank!

This size tank from IM took roughly two and a half months to ship out from the date of purchase (which they give you a heads up on before ordering). This gave me time to do my research on equipment, livestock, placement, movement, ETC. Although I will say being the procrastinator that I am, I waited for a majority of this until a couple of weeks before ship out.
