It's been a while since my last update (things have been a bit crazy). Here are some updated pics of the tank, including the new yellow wrasses. The rest of the fish hide as soon as I pull out the camera.

Full tank shot:

One of the urchins trying to pick up everything:

This chalice is getting so big!

This snail really wanted to be in the photos, so it got a close up:

One of the sponges, and a bit of a starfish arm:

Kahlan, the female clown, in some zoas:

I'm just enamored with the space invader's tentacles:

Yeah I ordered these from Vivid:
1/2in RFG Nozzle With Red Sea Max Adapter - Two-Pack
1/2in RFG Nozzle With Red Sea Max Adapter - Single
Red Sea Reefer Ultimate Return Line Upgrade - 25mm to 1/2in RFG
Thank you! Last question - You went with the dual 1/2 nozzles on the return. What GPH pump are you running? The stock A/C pump at ~1800 GPH? Or something else? Do you restrict the flow with a valve?

I just installed a Vectra M2, so I'm wondering if I should get the dual 3/4 nozzles so I can run closer to the high end of the pump capacity.

Yes, I'm using the stock pump around 1800 GPH. I don't have a valve on it that restricts the flow.

From what I've seen on mine, if you want to run at the higher end of the Vectra, I would get the 3/4 rather than 1/2 to not restrict your flow as much.

I've enjoyed reading through this thread. I was originally thinking I wanted a Max s 400, but after seeing both in person the extra sump space, extra light and extra circulation pump has me thinking the 500 is the way to go.

Thank you so much for the time you put into this thread. Been thinking about going with the max s500 for the next tank, and this is the best user experience thread I have run into. It’s been a while since you have posted, so I’m not sure if you are still updating, but if so, what are your thoughts on the tank now that you are a few years in?

Just an fyi:

Owned a 2013 s400, but sold it last year to another R2R member.
Downsized to the Red Sea Reefer Nano that comes with a sump.

Loved that s400. Super high quality with an amazing all aluminum stand.
Their coast to coast overflows are hard to beat.

Frizzles,
Hope you are doing well!
