No that wouldn’t work. You would have to pay the tax again

Technically no because they don’t charge for miles in other direction but for ward miles are the same no matter how many trips you make.

1 apple per mile 3 trips 1000 miles each 1000 apples per trip leaves 0 apples [emoji520]

Read his explanation again. you an do it and still have apples left

It does not make sense lol [emoji23] he even said you have to leave an apple behind.
How the hell you gonna leave an apple behind and your the truck driver lol no way it’s a company it’s money every apple has to arrive you can’t drive the truck and say hey I’m hungry I’m gonna eat this apple lol. Your def fired you leave an apple behind

Math is math contracts are contracts. it’s written as a 1000 miles from A-B, not 500 miles to A-B 1000 miles total.

The line we don’t charge you for the drive back is to throw you off and for you too start doubting your self { hence the riddle}.

but in fact means nothing it’s free...

the mileage from A-B is stated at 1000 miles at 1 apple per mile 1000 apples per load max 3 trips 1000 miles each at a cost of 1 apple per mile means your doneski ain’t no apples left bihhhh

it says the total distance is 1000 miles, but you don't have to travel the whole distance each time. you can travel in increments.

It does not say total distance for 3 trips is 1000 miles. It says its 1000 miles from A-B. You cant leave apples in random places just to make the riddle work. Maybe I'm missing something but everyone else seems to be coming to same conclusion.

lol. obviously you can end up with zero. but the riddle specifically asks for the HIGHEST number of apples.

Well if transportation by truck isn't required you could get all 3000 apples to Bananaville you would just need a form of transportation that doesn't cost any apples.

thanks for all those who participated. now here's the answer:

Answer: 833 apples.

Step one: First you want to make 3 trips of 1,000 apples 333 miles. You will be left with 2,001 apples and 667 miles to go.
Step two: Next you want to take 2 trips of 1,000 apples 500 miles. You will be left with 1,000 apples and 167 miles to go (you have to leave an apple behind).
Step three: Finally, you travel the last 167 miles with one load of 1,000 apples and are left with 833 apples in Bananaville.

I’m still staring at this math [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji520][emoji520][emoji519][emoji519]

You can’t leave an apple behind lol [emoji23] that’s my what my case is based on it voids all the numbers.

It’s still 0 apples

What planet are these towns on? Because if it's on something like an asteroid that's 1000.25 miles around then the trip could be 1000 miles one way and only a quarter mile the other way and you could avoid the tax even IF you drove the truck! [emoji14]
