Had a crazy thing happen. At some point, my plank pump got disconnected from the transformer side. Probably weeks ago. The wire was hanging loose behind the tank. The drum continued to dump food into the tube, and it clogged up somehow. There was a good solid inch or two deep of food in there. I made the mistake of plugging the pump back in, not realizing it was jammed with food and it went right into an MP40. Pellets everywhere! I’ve been siphoning food for hours! It smells terrible. I’m worried about ammonia killing my fish, so I’m dosing prime and running carbon. Glad I have no coral yet.

From now on I will zip tie the pump wire together where it disconnects in the middle. I’m also going to see if I can program my Profilux to alert me if the pump is not consuming power.
