I just walked in and saw my foxface floating on its side at the top of the tank. It was just fine 2 hours ago. Ate last night. It's breathing fast. No sign of disease. No other fish have any issues.

In order for anyone here to help we will need to know as much as possible. When did you get the fish? What are all of your parameters? How old is the tank?

#fishmedic But looking at this myself it appears the eyes are cloudy. I cant see if those specs are on glass or fish tail fin

But my initial thought is flukes or ich.

Can you post a longer video with white lighting.

Is he just laying there? Hopefully he isn't moribund

Is he laying in the flow of that wavemaker?

Fish is lethargic and is any other fish intimidating it?
Video was short to clearly see anything on fish. I dont see signs of aggression.
Can or may be flukes or velvet but a video under brighter white light will confirm

Sorry yall for not enough info. Was in a panic. It's obv morbid to me. I've had the fish for a year. It's got a few white spots on it but that could be sand. The fins are torn up. I can't get my parameters. Last measure however was ph .33, no3 30, alk 9.2. There hasn't been anything new added to the tank in 2months. That new fish died in 4 days due to the blue damsel picking on it and it escaping it's cage. Hopefully this video is better. Also the wave maker he is stuck my is not on. That one broke a long time ago. He is just kinda there by the natural flow.

All this happend overnight/this morning. The sailfin has never ever been aggressive to the foxface. They really also never left eachothers side. No other fish are bigger than half it's size. Other than the sailfin which is slightly smaller

I can't see anything definitive, but the fish does seem to be moribund, actively dying. Its eyes look cloudy and it is a bit thin. Going from normal to this point in a day is odd, velvet can cause that, but you will typically see other fish with issues by that point.

i cant think

Sailfin, black occiolaris clown(single), cromis, blue damsel, yellow head goby,
It’s possible the Sailfin went for him and pinned him into the corner when you weren’t looking.

I don't know why though? Other than the sail there is no marks. The 2 have never ever had a problem. No aggression over anything. As I mentioned before, they never left eachothers side.

My 2nd thought was sting from all my euphilla? But I've seen both of then swim through several times and j don't think it could to that to a fish.

I guess new fish time. Hard to replace this one. This case is oddly simalar to what happend to a tang in my mom's tank a few months back.
Sorry to hear. I wouldn’t add any new fish for at least two weeks - just in case the issue was something that the other fish may develop.
