I started a one spot Foxface in QT about a week ago and it still seems quite skittish and mainly hiding... There seemed to be a day or two where it was interested in feeding but for the most time has been hiding and showing stress response. Ammonia badge showed alert and I did a 40% wc (of course I question the accuracy but took measures to err on the side of caution), what other measures should I take?

QT is copper and metroplex.

I did not do any preliminary treatments for fluke, should I also do prazi right now if that's a possibility?

Did you add cycling bacteria? Are there hiding places?

I added cycling bacteria and I recycled some of the water from a recent QT. I have about 5 pieces of PVC in a 20 gallon tank

Which cycling product? Is there a filter sponge or biomedia? What is the copper level (which copper too) and what test kit do you use?

You would do prazi after the copper
If I'm having issues now would it be best to stop copper and treat flukes first? Or treat flukes with copper to modify the treatment plan? Or just wait and treat after (can fish live 30 days with flukes)?

I used MB7, and yeah I have a filter sponge and biomedia. I use copper power and it's at therapeutic range 2.20 ppm which I raised over a few days per humble fish protocol. Tested with Hanna

I'd consider adding some biospira or fritz.

I would finish the copper for 30 days at 81F

How long should I let the fish act like this if it's not moving too much and just hiding? Should I be concerned that flukes could kill it if that's what could be going on?

As long as the fish is eating it should be ok. Maybe add more thing for it to hide in/around. You can do a freshwater dip to see if there are skin/gill flukes but I don't like cutting the copper treatment short. I personally have mixed copper power and prazipro together without issues but I am not going to recommend it as these were unique scenarios and I have not done it that much.

Thanks, I just tried feeding and didn't see it anywhere in the tank, it was hiding in a piece of PVC and moved a bit when I was moving things around. It's hiding near a piece of PVC in plain sight and pretty still. Idk if just stressed or really sick :(

Is there good aeration? Maybe add a sponge filter with an air pump if not or a powerhead to agitate the surface
