Found a new squishy on the tank glass this morning. Looks like a baby nudibranch. It's less than 1/32 long and maybe 1/64 wide. All bluish white in color.
Is it worth letting it go or am I asking for trouble?

I cannot tell you without a photo but my rule of thumb with unknown critters is: if there's a doubt get it out.

Duh...forgot to post the ID I got.
Tritoniopsis elegans
It was cute, but for what I want to have in my tank he had to go......I really hate killing innocent creatures like this

Not to worry. If you have one asterina... you likely have more. Also some folks don't like them and remove them on the chance the harm coral.

From what I've just been reading on them there are only 5% that are coral eaters, all the rest are harmless. Says they are great harliquine shrimp food

Say what you want. but they will bother corals. most of mine stay on my glass and seem to eat algee. but I do find some others on the base of mt zoas and it seems to bother them. So get them out if you can.. my reef tank is my reef tank. not the wild ocean. What I put in stays and what I dont put in goes. Dont find out the hard way what is bad for your tank..

Thanks Rydogg420. I like your logic there. While it is fun to see the life emerge from the live rock, I have to keep in mind I don't have the luxury of an ocean's worth of dilution as it were.
Whatever it was a nudi or a star it is out of the tank, and I haven't seen any others as of yet....knock on wood
