Found a large sea shell on the beach with the kids thought it would be a neat decor piece well hours later turns out the thing is alive, so I put it in some saltwater can I get away with putting it in my tank? It’s large! But I do have a 120g tank. Or should I take it back to the beach? Just looking for opinion?

A few things here
Put it back, here's why.
That's not a conch, it's a lighting whelk, they are very predatory it will will eat all your snails.
Lighting whelks prefer colder water than what we keep our tanks at, it wouldn't last long.
Cool find though it's one of my favorites!
Hope this helps:)

Oh sorry that's not a lighting whelk, it's an atlantic whelk, same applies though.

Lighting whelks, also snails can have right and left handed shells. Left handed shells are really rare though I freaked out when I found this one(the brown at the top)
