This makes me relax a bit! Now is your fault, mad [emoji35] on you, you have not put this like a month ago [emoji3]!
Thanks! No exactly as you said. I have done several foam walls over the years and have had zero problems. Excellent write up
I would think so. The only issue I can see is getting it in place without it floating away.Hm think i could drop one off these into my already running nano cube
Everything is reef safe once it is all cured. No leaching! With any foam or chemicals you used, there is absolutely nothing that can leech out? Completely reef safe? Job well done!
I used Hagen pond foamin this tank and lately I have used great stuf pond foam. I used west system epoxy to cover the foam and then sand sprinkled in the epoxy. 10 years later and I have had 0 issues with the wall. No decomposing nothing. Crappy pic but here it is todayThanks!
Did you seal the wall with epoxy or similar?
Ever have any issues with foam degradation in very high light areas?
What foam brand have you tried??
Wouldn't the rocks weigh it down enough or noI would think so. The only issue I can see is getting it in place without it floating away.
Maybe if you incorporate a magnet into the back of the wall and one on the outside of the glass?
Or a big glob a super glue on the back and hold it till it stays. Lol
Not entirely sure, but I was more referring to keeping it flush against the glass and staying in place. And not falling over if it doesn't float.Wouldn't the rocks weigh it down enough or no
Oh gotcha if I made it tall enough I could have the top edge of it out of the water then run silicone or super glue around the top do you think that'd be enough to keep it in placeNot entirely sure, but I was more referring to keeping it flush against the glass and staying in place. And not falling over if it doesn't float.
Unless it's so tight it won't move on its own. Just wedge it in there.
Question. I have been thinking about doing something like this also. I have an acrylic take tho. I have been told that silicon would not adhere to acrylic. any suggestions for sealing the edges.
Also nice job on the how to. Looks great.
