I have an ALD module, and I want to switch to use the newer LD3 sensors, so I’m wondering if I can find an adapter to adapt from the fmm type jack to the rj32 cable. Anyone know what type of plug is on the fmm type of cables?

What uses the rj32? To my knowledge every sensor and module uses the same 4-pole jack…. Is it a legacy model or something?

3.5mm audio jack.
No. It looks like an audio jack, but it is actually a 4-wire cable, not 3 like audio. The connector is called a TRRS (tip-ring-ring-sleeve). It is correct they are 3.5 mm though. They can be found easily on amazon.

Thanks. So I’m looking for 3.5mm TRRS jack.

This is the style connector, is that not RJ32?

Oh ya, I forgot that one oddball sensor. One came with my Apex but it never worked right for me. Aren’t you switching to the LD3 sensor though? That one will plug right into the FMM port.

No, I’m out of FMM ports, but I have an ALD that has the 4 RJ32 ports (I think that’s an RJ32 style right?). So I was think of plugging the 3.5mm TRRS end of the LD3 into an adapter that can then plug into the ALD I have. (Hope that makes sense)

I think it is an RJ45. So something like this and a small length of RJ45 cable between the adapter and your ALD could work... https://a.co/d/3UwbwHU
