Fluval, SeaChem, Coralife Coral Supplements

Hello,

I went by Petco to glance at some fish and came across an assortment of reef supplements that were dirt cheap, all on clearance. Paid about 15 bucks for everything in the following picture.

I’m not sure I need any of these but figured it was worth it based on price. Are any of these good/used by people here/recommended?

What I picked up and what they claim to supplement:
- Seachem Reef Trace (trace elements)
- Seachem Reef Plus (vitamins and amino acids)
- Seachem Reef Complete (calcium, magnesium, strontium)
- Seachem Reef Carbonate (carbonate and bicarbonate)
-Coralife Strontium and Molybdenum
- Fluval Sea Iodide
- Fluval Sea Alkalinity (carbonate, bicarbonate, borate)
- Fluval Sea 3-Ions (calcium, magnesium, strontium)


I have a 20 gallon aquarium, about 2 months old, with a pulsing Xenia and a galaxea coral)

Any help appreciated!

Yes petco is discontinuing a lot of the salt water products. Don't know if they are going to bring in a new line or what.
Same thing at my local petco.
A lot of them were expired so look for dates. I don't know how long they really last but I always throw anything away expired whether it be supplements, milk cereal, etc.-I'm wierd that way.
OK enough of that down to what you bought.
Of those I've used reef complete, reef trace and reef plus.
Reef complete is trace and calcium and will raise calcium but I don't want all the trace. Kalk and or straight liquid calcium work better. Never had any results with this product.
Reef trace is probably fine.
Reef plus is fine but turn off your skimmer for a while after-it'll overflow.
I don't use any seachem products at all anymore. I've never had anything but varied results and I think there are much better products out there.
My opinion only and my 2cents.
Never used the fluval line.

Some of these will last a long time, but whether you need them or not is a different question.

The Reef Complete (calcium) and reef Carbonate (alk) are likely fine.

I use fluval iodide and can say it perks up my softies for sure. I'll add 1ml maybe every second week as I don't test iodide and that's all I can get locally.

Seachem I used 20+ yrs ago and seemed to be a better product, but now it sits collecting dust as it's to inconsistent and now I use way better additives.

It's more common to determine what you really need before buying. Generally, you don't dose things you don't test for, whether it's a home test kit or sending samples to a lab.
