Hi guys,
Currently setting up a fluval 123l after a years worth of success with the fluval evo, which I’m keeping running as well. I’ve been taking my time with this one and following loads of guides in order to make it the best I can, I read that rockwork should be 1-1.5lb per gallon of water, I order 40lbs of carribsea life rock and used all but one piece so I imagine there is about 36lbs in the tank. There is room on the front and both side for an algae magnet scraper to get by.
Looking at photos of other peoples 123l mine seems to be on the heavier side of rock work and wondered if I’ve maybe gone too far or do people just choose not to follow the 1-1.5lb rock per gallon. I really like the look myself but will consider removing some of it does look like too much. Currently have the sand drying on my living room floor after a rinse…
Thanks
Dan
