Flow Change?

First, this is a flow post only. My algae is because of how much I feed and I am fine with the excessive cleaning. I have noticed a positive change in both coral and fish since I started feeding more. Until i get more aggressive algae eaters I am the nutrient export.sucks, but it is what it is and I’ll make that sacrifice for the positive results I’ve seen in my tank.

Ok guys. So I am having some algae issues and am regular scrubbing the algae off my rockwork. Every time I do so I get lots of dust, fines and detectors so I am thinking I need to. Hange my flow and want thoughts and opinions on this.
was setup as follows:
Left side had one mp40 top left and a Nero 3 lower right as low as it could go without disturbing the sand. The right side alternated. 1 mp40 top right and a Nero 5 lower left.
Clearly this was doing nothing for my rockwork.
What I am thinking of trying (already moved) is one mp 40 in the middle of each rockwork structure, which is what I currently have it setup as to help keep the detritus off of the rock. I’m thinking of swapping out the mp 40 on the right that is aimed at the rockwork with the Nero 5 though as the rock is closer to the pump than the left side. Thoughts? Opinions? What should I do with remaining 2? Maybe left to right with the mps and front to back with the Nero’s or visa versa? It will be a mixed reef with sps up high and lower flow coral lower In the tank.

Think of adjusting the flow to suit your amimals. The removal of the aquarium dust will have to be part of your weekly or daily maintenance routine. A turkey baster or small power head to blow off the rocks occassionaly will help keep the surfaces clean.
