Anyone have experience with these pairs ?

Thank you mod/admin :)

I have a newly styled device to prevent that hehe
Is that a good size tank though ? Know what their personalities are like ?
I have seen them in 'smaller' tanks, but don't want them to feel crammed.

40 g is pretty small. How about a couple of flashers?
You do have a cover right?

I do, it's actually a 'welded' acrylic box I made that just goes around the tank 6" tall.
They would have to jump 7" to make it out of my tank. I really would like a female/male pair which is the reasoning behind rhomboid or flame. How can you tell with flashers ?
Thank you Brad !

They can jump 6 " in there sleep. lol
I've had a wrasse jump out and over my 16" canopy right in front of me and land on the carpet. I quietly picked him up and put him back in.
I mean flasher wrasses. They are much smaller than Fairy wrasses.

you might be able to put on fairy in there but i think flashers would be better and you are going to have to have a top and like brad has said no eggcrate..i used that mesh and it works

You could theoretically place a pair of Lubbock's Fairy Wrasses in your tank. They are the smallest fairy wrasses that I know of, rarely reaching 2 1/2 inches in length.

That is incorrect. Lubbocks can get up to 4 inches.

a lubbocks would not be bad as they are one of the smaller fairys they can get to almost 4 but i have never seen one that size usally around 3 inches..also a logfin..c.rubriventralis would be good as well as they stay small...but for sure you will need a top..it is not if they will jump it is when..i have never heard of anyone having longterm success without a top

Like Brad was saying, you'd be fine with some Flasher wrasses in there. The Lubbucks is definitely a good pic too. They are generally on the smallish size (~2in), have a really good demeanor, with nice coloration.
I'd stay away from any of the Fairys, Mystery, or other wrasses with a bullyish temperament.

Good luck

Lubb's can be just as mean as any other wrasse. I have witnessed it several times in my tank. I don't think it is good practice to suggest the lubb is any less agro than the others.
