Fish slowy Dieing...

OK let me start out with the following info:

60 Gallon Cube

Skimmer OCTO 110

Ehopps 75 Sump with 4” filter sock

Marine Pure Ceramic biomedia

Lights: AI prime cycle , with T5 only running 4 hour a day

APEX Fusion

current tank parameters:

Temp: Average 78 degrees

Alk : 8.1 dKH Dosing Red sea 10ml @ day

PH:7.9 to 8 ppm reading from both Apex prob and test kit

Calcium: 380 ppm

Ammonia: last test 0 ( maybe some today with dead fish) will test today

Nitrate 0 ppm

Nitrite 0 ppm

Phosphate 0.2ppm

Beginning Fish list:

Two small clowns ( one clown is laying under rocks some)

One diamond Goby

Red dragonet

10 snails

Cleaner shrimp

Sand shifting star

Dead:

Coral Beauty
Sail fin angle
Baby Powder blue tang
diamond goby X2

Coral:

Two head frog spawn

Bubble tip Anemone

One very small SPS

Small frag ZOA

3 mushrooms

Small frag Monti

Answer questions of “no I don’t QT fish” I know everything I have been told is to QT fish. I just haven’t done it.

Events:

New tank started sept 2018

Tank was doing great went thru a 2 month cycle

Got parameters in spec.

Added Snails

Added copepod’s

Added 2 clown fish Oct 2018

Skimmer started skimming good

Feeding a small amount of Misis shrimp 1/3 cube

Added diamond goby Oct 2018

Water change 10 gallons

Nov 2018 Baby powder blue died****

Dec 2018 diamond goby Died***

Dec 2018 got new diamond goby

30 Dec 2018 got Sail fin Angle and Coral Beauty

7 Jan saw white spots on Sail Fin ( started Seachem focus and metroPlex)

Looked like the Sail fin had Ichthyophthirius ICH)

After 2 days looked like Seachem was working……….

After 2 weeks its looked like all was well……..then

20 Jan sail fin died*** and Goby*** jump out of tank with a screen on top , I have a 1” gap for the old Kessil light goose neck…….( I blamed it on the Blood moon).

Today the Coral Beauty was dead on the side of the mp40……..

Also my skimmer is not skimming the last couple of day small bubbles in the display and no dry skim….

Don’t Know why this started.

So all that’s alive is the dragonet, 2 clowns for fish and all cleaner crew and coral….

I’m going to try and treat tank with Rally and Kick-ICh, the other option in to set up a QT tank treat remaining fish with copper and let tank go for 60 days.

Any input will greatly be appreciated……….SMH.

Side note this week my PH dropped low to 7.6, I dont understand why , becuse of dosing Alk 10ml at night.

There could be any number of things happening. Too many fish in a new tank too quickly is one possibility. Since you’ve seen spots we can assume ich is a contributing factor. Focus and metro do not treat ich. Ich is a parasite and metro is an antibiotic.

It is not advised that you treat your DT, rather go fallow for 76 days and treat the fish you have remaining for ich.

60 days covers only velvet. Ich needs 76 days. I would treat in copper and do it from here out to prevent this kind of stress. Sorry for the trouble, we have all been there.
