Thanks everyone for your help

Im looking around whilst lights are off and I’m not seeing anything at all, I highly doubt there is a Bobbit in my tank as I didn’t bring barely any live rock in, and, wouldn’t I find a skeleton? I’m going to keep an eye out though

Are there any other possibilities? Im really quite worried about my fish, I don’t want to lose any more

At least 5 mixed nassarius and trochus
Nassarius can be carnivorous and hide deaths quite well (And in quite some speed too). You may find they have been preying on the decaying bodies.

That could be it, but then how come they’re dying in the first place?
Also I check on my tank about 20 times a day as where it is in my house I walk past it all of the time, wouldn’t I see it happening ?

Do you walk past at night? Also do the fish appear healthy until they vanish?

Yes, they all look perfectly healthy, no white spots, or velvety look, they’re active and eating fine

I often check on it at night and it seems just the same apart from the clownfish aren’t in the nem because it is closed up

Judging from your pic in your post #14, to me, the tank looks underdeveloped.
-needs more surface agitation
-needs more flow
-needs more rock
Rock and flow are the 2 most important parts of the tank.

The tank looks very new, no dirt or algae anywhere on the glass, sand, or plastic.

It is about 9 months old, there is quite a bit of movement on the surface maybe you can’t see because of the rim though

I rake the sand (occasionally) and scrape the glass regularly to keep it algae free, should I not be doing this?
Perhaps this is a better photo now tag lights are on

I could get some more live rock to put in it though, I will have a look for some

Ideally there used to be a guideline of close to 1 lb per gallon for rocks .
to help with nitrifying along with providing hiding places and shelter for livestock .
fish disappearing could be one or multiple things . From disease to predator or some
Sort .
perhaps the fish looks well but carrying some sort of disease . Caught with cyanide prior to moving to your tank .

if this helps …. I bought a 3” angelfish in September . He looked well , no visual signs of illness or disease
He disappeared and I haven’t seen him
For 2 weeks .
I have a incredible cleanup crew and that’s what they do .

I’ve had (2) 4” mono and a 6” lion fish disappear over night years ago …

swimming and feeding from my hand before lights out .
the next morning they were gone .
no sign of them around the tank assuming they wanted to try carpet surfing ,
Checked under the rocks . Nowhere to be seen …,
For years I marked it as clean up crew must have taken care of them throughout the night

Looking at the water surface in your tank, IMO there is not enough agitation. I can see a film and that film does not allow for oxygen exchange.

One of these hang on back filters would work wonders for your tank. Will help keep that surface film from building up.

You don’t need to replace the cartridge inside. They can get clogged quick and get expensive changing them all the time. Just put some filter floss, a small amount. Will do!

That’s weird, I have a powerhead pointing straight at the surface? But I will look into it, thanks :)

Maybe try a RED ("nigh vision") flashlight at night to look at the tank. The inverts can't see it so you can really focus on them and see what they're doing
My light has a red option so would that work ?

That's what I thought. They'd devour a fish in a night
