After two long agonizing months trying to get the xepta autobalance into the United States from Spain, greece and the United Kingdom, it finally arrived yesterday, I am getting it set up now, I have not seen anyone online in the United States with one of these so I figured I would post about it and how it works compared to the usual ones, I was using the GHL KH DIRECTOR and I honestly am not a fan of it, I had nothing but issue after issue with it ,and I was unable to get my hands on the alkatronic or the mastertronic and the KH guardian didn’t seem that great or easily obtainable, I am not aware Of any other alkalinity tester in the United States other than those ones, I will be setting up the xepta autobalance this shortly and will post along the way if anyone is interested.

Even i was eyeing for one, but doesn't seem to come to india anytime soon. and getting it shipped from the UK is gonna be way expensive.
Just a heads up as you set it, Autobalance works on auto test and dose mode only with Xepta supplements.

Yeah I paid 1,400$ to get it to me, even though it only costs 450$ in it’s gone country, and thankfully I use a calcium reactor so I don’t need to use any of the xepta supplements, although it came with a bunch of it, probably a years supply worth actually, so far after unboxing it it seems quite nice and better quality and design than the GHL kh director

I got everything set up and it has been testing, it doesn’t seem to match my Hanna checker but the reagent I have for the Hanna is old, I’m going to open a new bottle and compare, I turned my calcium reactor down based off the results it first showed, that could be why it is showing a drop even though the Hanna checker is not showing a significant drop in alkalinity

after calibrating all the pumps yesterday following the manual saying to re calibrate after 48 hours my xepta autobalance now is reading within 0.1 DKH difference with my Hanna checker

Is the tubing too long?
Hope its purged properly and not taking air ?
I have the tubing at the max length of 60 inches so it could be causing a issue but I’m not sure on that one, I haven’t seen any air in the lines while it’s performing a test, i’ll try shortening the tubing a little bit but I don’t think I’ll be able to do it by much

I'm in the same boat I think. I'm after the reef factory gear but it's not available in the states yet either

I initially was going to get the reef factory kh keeper actually but found out that it’s not worth it unless you get the kh keeper PLUS and I couldn’t get my hands on one of those only the first version witch had a lot of problems with it apparently

Thanks for that info. It me know how the one you ended up getting does for you. Originally I was going to get an alkatronic but those are dam near impossible to get as well

It’s great that you can wall mount the xepta unlike the Neptune trident and the GHL KHD

The xepta has been up and running for about five days now

I have a few notes about performance and such. #1: for some reason the water in pump is louder than all the other heads and is a little obnoxious since the it is set up in my room where I sleep, I don’t know if it’s just the head or the motor but I plan on swapping the head out to see if that helps but it doesn’t seem to effect it’s performance in any way

#2: When taking the beaker out to either calibrate the probe or the pump heads it’s very easy to loose the stir bar and there is absolutely no information on what size it is to be able to order another one

#3: the light on the front cannot be turned off, this leads back to it being in the same room where I sleep, it does not effect the performance or anything but it would be nice to have the option to shut it off

#4: the app is not great, there isn’t many options for fine tuning, and you cannot change any settings while you are not home you can only check the previous test results that it has performed

I cannot comment on its readings or the stability of the machine yet but I will update it as soon as I can
