Thanks for the response, I love what you did with the selves to hang the lights, might steal that ideaas my tank is somewhat low to the ground.

If you are planning to get a blackbox, I wouldn't recommend to use a glass cover. It might gonna heat up your tank and limit the fresh air going into your tank, instead you can DIY a mesh top. I have a 20G long coral QT tank without cover. 2G RODI topoff only last few days due to evaporation. I would suggest you to get an ATO and it will save you a lot of time refilling and help keeping the salinity stable.

Yeah the top, in my mind, is more just in case the light falls.
