Maxspect came out with a new skimmer - sk200 - better size for me so traded. It’s been running about a week - first one I’ve ever used but looks like it’s working well for me.

As has been mentioned- sump is too small for a fuge and skimmer. Skimmer seems like it will be less trouble in the long run. Still have the rumble rock from Tampa bay saltwater - few piece in the display and the rest here.

Live stock continues to expand and I’m even managing to keep coral alive - I test frequently and other than an initial fast drop in ALK everything else is with guidelines. It’s impossible to go slow - I want to add something new everyday!!! Good thing my favorite LFS is 30+ miles away.

I haven’t done an update in awhile… it’s only been about three months - things seem to be going well. Lots of coral frags - even started experimenting with SPS - have some montipora and a few acros. Not enough to make a significant dent in calcium or mag yet. Those I adjust monthly. ALK I have to add about 20ml daily to keep at 8.5 or there abouts. Two recent additions - some WYZE camera to keep an eye on things. In sump and in the room. The night/low light vision is great.

Glad everything is still going great!

So far haven’t lost any coral or fish / though my Acans definitely arent looking as full here as they did at the LFS. My nitrate was low/ basically 0 so I’m dosing that now too. There is an argument for roller matts keeping things too clean. That’s 400 that maybe I could have kept in my pocket
