Try to do a big water change to drop No3 to 10 -15 ppm before you add clean up crew.
What kind of test are you using to test your water?

It's hard to have such a pretty tank full of yuck!
Thanks! Great idea@Brian Mountain , for water changes I use a spare pump, came from a biocube. I run a house to the bath tub drain, drop the pump in the sump pull out the waste water, then pull the pump off the hose and stick it on the bath room end(where I mix my water). Only thing lugged around is the pump/hose.
I add water back to my sump, because it seems to be the most likely way to protect the corals in my DT. But, I've read that it really doesn't matter as reefs are often subject to similar fluctuations in Sg, as it does rain fresh water onto shallow reefs. In the end, I really don't think it matters. Don't hurt to stir the DT, that's for sure. Just my opinion however.Did my first water change yesterday. Will check all parameters this afternoon and see where I stand. .
Dumb question: where do you add water back into, DT?
Water is really cloudy. thoughts/ideas?
