This is my very first reef tank and first post here on R2R. I have been lurking around the forums every day trying to learn as much as I can. Tank is setup and cycling with Aquavitro seed. Nitrites have spiked, and eagerly awaiting the end of the cycle.
if any experienced reefers happen on this thread, I would love any feedback on the aqua scape. I am considering chiseling some of the smaller rocks around the base into more interesting shapes, but I’m not sure. Would love any feedback or ideas.
I am planning on starting with some softies and LPS but would eventually like to keep a few SPS on the upper levels of the tower. 2 vortech MP10s are on order for flow. Tunze Osmolator 3152 ATO installed and working flawlessly.
i did not purchase the optional sump, as after reading around on the forums here, I realized I would eventually like a Refugium, and The sump sold be red sea only has 3 chambers making that difficult. i intend to get the ball rolling on the tank while I ponder my options for a sump. Space is limited in the cabinet and it will need to be well thought out. Advice welcome.
I intend to keep the fish bio load low, probably a pair of clowns, maybe a flame hawkfish, and a few yellowtail damsels. Again, would love any advice on stocking a tank this size and configuration.
cheers!
