Hello All & Welcome,

I am making this thread to document my first aquarium experience. I would love to hear your thoughts on my build and have discussions on altering, upgrades, and suggestions.

My build consists of the following items:

Tank- IM 30 Gal Lagoon Tank w/stand. Tank Dimensions (36" L x 14" W, 13" H).
Sand- Caribsea Arag- Live Fiji Pink Sand around 20-25lb. 1.5 inch off tank floor.
Return Pump- MightyJet 538 GPH (used with 2 split flow heads)
Filters- 200 Micron Filter Sock (2 so I can switch out when cleaning), and a Custom Caddy Media Basket (with the purity pack carbon, GFO and cotton balls)
Light- A Radion XR15 G5 Blue
Powerhead- 1 AI Nero 3 (up to 2,000 GPH), I also have a Tunze 6015 Nano Stream (currently not in use, mainly used to mix with Coral RX for dipping).
ATO- AutoAqua Smart ATO Lite SATO- 260P (automatic top off system).

My tank has been running for 6 weeks now. Thinking about investing in a 10 gal tank so I can use as a quarantine/frag tank.

The fish/invertebrates that I currently have are the following:

2 Clownfish- Percula (Finney is the 3 stripe and lucky is the 2 stripe) my girlfriend named the clowns.
1 Dartfish- Purple Firefish (Houdini, likes to hide in a crevices in the back of the cave structure when stressed.
1 Moly (started out to begin the Nitrogen cycle). The name Testy (canary)
2 Nassarius Snails
3 Turbo Snails
1 Sand Sifting Starfish (Swifty)

Coral that I currently have:
Sinularia Leather
Mushroom (red)
Green Star Polyps
Greenstar Duncan

Planning to add the following fish/invertebrates down the road (in no particular order)- Midas Blenny, Small Yellow Tang (will keep when I upgrade to a bigger tank or return to fish store when it gets to big), Mandarin Dragonet (likely last fish to be added), Cleaner Shrimp, Sexy Shrimp and potentially a Jawfish.

Corals I want to add- Frogspawn, Zoanthids, either a long tentacle/bubble tip anemone (will likely add when I am at 6 months or longer), toadstool, xenia's, maybe a gold torch once I am confident enough.

Looks like you're off to a good start! I have the same tank,

You'll probably need another light if you plan to pack the coral in there (I run 3x Primes on mine). But, so far, so good!

HAVE YOU EVER KEPT A RARE/UNCOMMON FISH, CORAL, OR INVERT? SHOW IT OFF IN THE THREAD!
