6 months ago I put a combo frag of 5 Firework cloves and 5 Lemon tip cloves. The Lemon tip cloves have grown larger and increased in number. The Firework cloves have not reproduced much, and in comparison seem to be shrinking. Maybe 1 new Firework polyp hasappeared.
Are the Firework cloves normally slower growers than other clove polyps? I'm wondering how the Lemon tips could grow, while the Firework cloves slowly shrink and wither. My tank already has too much green in it. I am hoping to hold onto the orange coloration of the Firework cloves.
(because this is a reefjar, 90% water changes weekly, so unfortunately I do not have a wide array of testing stats on water quality.)
3 gallons
Salinity = 1.025
Temp = 79.5 F
Light = API PAR 38 Tuna Blue bulb 12w
(Perhaps the clove polyps don't like the frequent water changes.)
I have included photos. Hard to tell, because I don't have a great color filter, but the tiny bright green clove polyps are the Firework polyps, and the larger more drab polyps are the Lemon tip polyps.
