I am planning on setting up a soft coral tank and thinking about adding finger leathers(sinularia sp.). Are they hard to take care of? What are the special needs and care for this things?

sinularia is a hardy species they do best under 4-6 watts a gallon they need a med to high flow do to the fact that leathers shed there skin to shed any algae growth without the flow to remove this they can get nerotic areas and die and if you ever plan to add any hard corals a good protien skimmer to help remove any toxins they may excrete but I would add a good skimmer eitheir way.

Yep plenty of light and great you already have a skimmer so as long as flow is good your good to go.

Definitely need good flow. Not direct flow though. Mine prefer to be out of the direct flow and just wave around gently. I use Coral Frenzy about once a week.

I love the softies::bigsmile:
