A little back story I just moved, and placed my clown pair in a 5 gallon tank I had already setup at the new place long before the move just a holding tank until I got the main tank setup (I wanted/needed to finally paint the back of the tank and took this opportunity). The clowns were only in the 5 gallon for 2 days but I came in after day one and noticed the tail on the male looked like it was chomped on a bit. I haven’t noticed any real aggressiveness between the two so that got me worried about possible diseases. Any ideas? Was the move just a stressful event and made mama mad in such close quarters?
First pic before move, second pic after the move.

This one looks like tail rot
Verify water quality (ammonia-nitrate-ph) and assure proper diet
Melafix is a good aid in treatment in tail and fin rot

After a move, my clowns did the same exact thing. The female chomped the heck out of the male. Once inthe new tank it took a couple of weeks but the male grew back his fins. Just keep an eye on them for now.
