Hello all, my parameters seem to all be in check, ph is alittle low. Anyways this Favia is placed low in the tank but the light is directly shining on it. Moved it around a few times, and it does seem to be regaining some of the red color, but there were green dots in the Favia that seem to be fading away. Not sure what to do. Leave it right there and forget about it. Maybe some day it will return.

Favia has really small feeders.
Feeds mainly during the night.
Right now it has beneficial bacteria on it, which is a good thing.
Why it died is always a question though.
Maybe next time you have more luck.
What other corals do you have and at which parameters you keep them?

API are good starter kits but not so accurate.
To cycle a tank they are great but all you need for that is ammonia and nitrite.
You going into keeping fish and corals for that dialing in your parameters I advice and not only me but other hobbyist to look into a higher grade test kit.
Redsea, Hanna, salifert justvto name a few.
