Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but I'm genuinely concerned, so in the past I lost all my fish to either ick or velvet (it was one or the other) so I completely left my tank fishless for a very long time (coral only), but due to a lightning issue all of my coral died (light became too bright and killed all of them when I was on vacation). This was during December, during August I decided to RIP clean my tank (I rinsed the sand with tap water at least 35 times) and decided to get back into reefing. The last time I had fish in my tank was 290 days ago (December 20, 2023) so therefore do you think if I had ich or velvet that it would be gone by now? I made a post about keeping a stonefish but couldn't get any in time therefore I opted for a devil scorpionfish instead and he's arriving tomorrow.
SG of my tank is 1.025-1.026 (I'll get an auto top off machine, but currently I do it manually and therefore there can be some fluctuations).
I completely changed out the water but the water in the sump was not refreshed when I cleaned out the tank (although I did clean the walls of the sump and the sponges in the sump) could it still be in there? I also have corals and they are all doing well and growing quite quickly.
Thank you in advance.
