In your blog article about bounce mushrooms it mentioned that they like moderate to high light 100-20 PAR. I guess I always thought of mushrooms as low light lovers. I guess I'll have to rethink where to place them if I ever get one.

In this article about coral acclimation, you don’t mention a dip. Would you recommend doing a dip after drip acclimation?
We dip corals here. Dipping corals is always good but I would much prefer for someone to have a quarantine tank that they could acclimate coral into first and let it settle in for a few days after stress of shipping before dipping. I personally believe a large percentage of corals that die are because corals we dipped right after shipping when they are stressed. If coral is picked up locally you could certainly dip it first. It really depends on the situation, the type of coral, the dip used, the condition of the coral, and the end user. There are so many variables that I just do not feel comfortable making a blanket recommendation on dipping or not dipping. Thanks, Scott

Bonus entry #4:

How to acclimate Corals to your Reef Tank

I didn't realize acclimation could take hours. I have only been doing it around 30-45 minutes. I guess some are more delicate and it would ensure better results acclimating for a couple hours.

30 tons of air conditioning! You must be located someplace warm!
I actually need to change that. We are somewhere warm (DFW Metrollex) but that is old info from maybe 20 years ago when we ran 1000 watt Metal Halides. I am in a different facility now and only run Leds (Radions XR30 Gen 6 Blues and Kessil 360x fixtures) which has helped with temp control ALOT

Some corals I acclimate for 15 mins or less it all depends on the coral type, how long they have been in bag, and differences in water parameters
