Dear ReefBot Users,

We're thrilled to introduce an exciting enhancement for API Nitrate testing with your ReefBot Lab. To ensure the most accurate results, we've added a dedicated stirring test that will be automatically assigned when you choose the API Nitrate on your device.

Here's how to optimize your API Nitrate testing experience:

  1. Schedule a Daily Stirring Test:
    • Head over to the Tests tab on your ReefBot Lab dashboard.
    • Assign API Nitrate reagent 1 and reagent 2 in their respective tubes and save.
    • Navigate to the Dashboard and click on Schedule.
    • Choose the API Nitrate Stirring test and schedule it daily, even if you don't test Nitrate every day.
    • Select a time that precedes the original API Nitrate test by approximately 1-2 hours.

  2. Use the 20ml Vial for API Nitrate Reagent 2:
    • Ensure that you use the 20ml vial for reagent 2 when performing the API Nitrate test. This will ensure consistent and accurate measurements.
These steps will significantly improve the precision of your Nitrate readings and contribute to the overall health of your reef ecosystem.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, our dedicated support team is here to help.

Here's to thriving reefs and precise water parameter testing!

or use tropic marin test kit and save the hassle
Hello Eric,

The Tropic or Fauna Marin Nitrate tests are popular among our users. Although these tests work well, they might not be readily available for everyone. Moreover, the API Nitrate test uses only two reagents instead of three like the Tropic or Fauna Marin, allowing users to conduct more tests with the remaining available vial slots.
