Good luck! It’s not looking good for me! I’ll try dusting them with some chopped up frozen food and see what I can make happen!
That snail is clearly just pushing the other snail to a safer spot in the tank.Sorry guys... the build thread is no longer PG
Possibly - I know copulation has been reported in at least one Cerithium species, and from the description it seems like fairly similar behavior:^ @ISpeakForTheSeas is this mating behavior or no?
I'm starting to second guess that now, maybe it is? Very cute though.Wait is that mating?? My snails are always all over each other, I thought they were just cleaning each others shells!!!
I declare them R2R’s newest ‘it’ coupleI'm starting to second guess that now, maybe it is? Very cute though.
How can you tell they're "IT"? Pocket protectors?I declare them R2R’s newest ‘it’ couple
Typical Scarlet. Mine hides in my Birdsnest.Halloween hermit and scarlet hermit have been in for about 40 minutes. I'll post pics in the morning, the tank lights are on moonlight so pics won't be great right now.
The Halloween hermit us moving pretty well, but the scarlet has just sat there like this
Blue leg says, "you gotta pretty shell."Blue leg has come to investigate
The real interaction was pretty funny, they look at each other, and the blue leg kept going back into his shell, while the scarlet just sat there completely unfazed, the blue leg just skittered away and the scarlet kept sitting there.Blue leg says, "you gotta pretty shell."
I love your colony of feather dusters! Here's the scarlet tonight, he's moved but he still has that stare lol. Halloween hermit is not being very photogenic, he's almost as shy as the blue legs, pretty funny since he's more than twice the size of them though.
