So was thinking of running dual jebao returns that are 3900 gph a piece. The max flow from the synergy V2 overflow is 2500. In wondering if I should size down the returns as I’m afraid even at the minimum setting the jebao’s may still be to much for the overflow.

I wouldn't worry about the returns being too much. You have to factor head pressure and the possible use of manifolds that reduce/divert some of the flow capability of each dc pump.
