Bad times, must be contagious mines withering away as we speak
Oh it’s been shown to be contagious! I’ve even heard that most of them already have it in there soft tissue. The Australian versions are supposed to be more likely to not have it.

This is ours tonight, it's pretty much been like this for the last few days, the last picture was a few weeks ago

Hopefully it’s not some sort of bacterial infection, but with mine, it started to swell in the middle and then finally started to produce a white mucus substance, which is how I determined it was that elegance coral disease.

Nothing like that from what I can see, just failing to open fully, I even moved it up a bit as it was only getting about 70 par, but no difference, ive just put it back on the substrate, just have to see how it goes

I did not read every reply but I would try an iodine dip. My first elegance was a goner (despite dipping) but I THINK I may have saved my second...too soon to tell. Good luck!

I tried the freshwater dip, and that killed mine. It may have just been too far gone by that point however.

I remember decades ago that this was one of the corals highly recommended as a starter coral, tough and suitable for beginners. Those were the days that SPS were considered almost impossible to keep alive. Then elegance coral syndrome (ECS) hit and it became super hard to keep.

I just ordered a new one from corals.com and I’m hoping this one doesn’t come down with anything. I cleaned my tank really well and am running UV 24/7 till it arrives.
