They were sharing a burrow up until recently but I guess they had a falling out and the engineer moved to the left side of the tank a couple days ago. I want to find it a big flat rock to put there so it can be happier. Was the Snowflake sizing up the Engineer goby off?
Yeah I think it's safe. Only the gold could eat it and its very slow and not very aggressive. And wow the baby Coris hasn’t been eaten.
How about you name one fish Sam another fish Aaron and another fish EthanSo what's the opinion on naming? Currently only the engineers have names but I think I might start naming all my fish.
Engineer (right) - Scarry
Engineer (left) - Picky
Mag. Fox - IKEA?
Just for the lols I think IKEA could be a good name lol.Mag. Fox - IKEA?
Honestly, so do I - I may rob that for my regal’s name.Just for the lols I think IKEA could be a good name lol.
It's the thread that got me (yesterday) thinking again about an engineer Goby.Hey thanks for coming over to my build thread without the build thread badge. This is the tank where I keep the weird things.
Do they spit sand? Most of my rockwork is on the bottom so I don't think they will collapse a lot if anything. I still want to secure some shady ones though. They're great fish with the exception of the excavating. It is impossible to keep my pipes covered.
Yeah but its not bad. They love moving around sand but once they've got a good burrow that seems to stop. Not as bad as my old diamond goby that loved to bury coral and spit sand on top of everything. They're quite tidy in fact.Do they spit sand? Nice! That was question two. How are they with coral on the sandbed?Yeah but its not bad. They love moving around sand but once they've got a good burrow that seems to stop. Not as bad as my old diamond goby that loved to bury coral and spit sand on top of everything. They're quite tidy in fact.
3 or 4 in a 5 foot 120 ok? I see they like each other. They're certainly a fun fish! They do get big too. Mine are about 10" but I've seen some near the 2' range.
