I received the MP40,
I’m very disappointed in its condition, I asked that you send me the newer looking one.
This is too old and broken, I don’t want this one so I would like to return it.

He is likely selling equipment he bought used and never tested so he isn't aware of the condition that they are in which is probably why this happened.

Must be a coincidence how these pumps were sold locally for 300 for both and a few hours after you listed yours with the same exact defect, nem guards and only one box for the two. I have nothing against flipping equipment. Just be honest.
