it can be common that it the battery can get hot when charging. Do you have it charging 24/7?I have the ecotech backup battery for my MP-40's. I have noticed that its quite hot to the touch. Is this normal? Its only been at me one year.
Anyone else having this issue?
that's the problem. Its not good for the battery to be charging constantly. Since its getting hot and staying that way. I would replace it.Yes its always plugged in
what would the frequency be to charge?that's the problem. Its not good for the battery to be charging constantly. Since its getting hot and staying that way. I would replace it.
only after the battery is discharged.what would the frequency be to charge?
the battery only get's used when the power is out. once the batteries die then you should charge them. How would y
the battery would have it sit for years and years for that to happen. Make sure you take it out of use asap and replace it. Its a hazzard. My worry was that it would drain if never used and when power actually goes it would be out
much better idea.I've had no trouble leaving batteries on a tender for months but never a charger.
look at the battery's information.Would anyone know what battery this is so I can get a replacement
A tender can still ruin a battery. If you have a battery that barley gets used a tender can ruin the cells.I've had no trouble leaving batteries on a tender for months but never a charger.
some how my dad ruined a battery when it was on a tender. From my time in trade school, i don't Rember hearing anything and a drained battery freezing.Forgot to quote you. @tedfisher496
Maybe it can but I know a discharged battery will freeze so mine are on tenders all winter long. I've been leaving batteries on tenders for years. Tractor, lawnmower, and atv. Never been a problem. They monitor voltage and stop charging when a certain voltage is reached so it's not continously charging. Sorry I'm a simpleton and not into tech and specs so I cant provide any usefull info JME
