This might be a funny question but… I have alot of drawf cerith snails. Well, when I cleaned my sand bed today many of them got trapped in the sand like 2 inches deep. Can they get out of the sand if there buried alive like this? It seems many are struggling to reach the surface.

Thank u for viewing!

I never worry about burying snails. They are stronger and more resilient than you think. They will find there way out. Besides the effort of trying to find now will be more of an issue if you are going to sift your sand

Thanks, I just needed some reassurance. They are so small that I just did not see for sure if they would have the strength.

Strength of these little creatures (snails in general)surprise me. Heck turbo snails are known to move rocks and change your aqua scape if not glued. Lol

All I can tell you is these buggers are survival masters. I now have a new tank ( CADE 2100 ) and I did not purposefully add the Drawf Ceriths and yet they have exploded in numbers regardless. I now have at least 1k + of them roaming about.
