It was the one fish my youngest daughter wanted - it seems they are a real pain to acquire, always out of stock. Well, my local man came through and got me one. It's eating great...redoing the entire tankscape, etc. But it does not recognize pellets or flakes as food.

I'm stuck out of town during the holidays for a funeral (yay, Arlington National Cemetery...taking forever to...), and so far, I've not gotten this fish to recognize anything that might come from an auto feeder as food. I'm really hoping I don't end up having to call in the LFS to come service my tank and feed this fish while I'm out of town. Does anyone have any advice on how to get them to switch over to flake or pellets?

umm, people think my feeding is insane right now...

but umm, it all goes POOF really quickly .. dart, dart gone.. dart, dart gone... I did not realize that they would eat algae wafers - of course ... my sailfin should ... but he has decided to be a carnivore, too... but if size is the trigger, maybe I can try large Benepet pellets...
