Hi all,

i have a 140 G BB-Tank and i think my Dain ist not strong enough, i have a big amount of Detritus swirling around.

I have a very strong Flow (3x Mp40 2x Mp10) in the BB-Tank but the Detritus swirling around, i installed a Ultra Flow Drain but it don´t work really good..

What you have for a recommendation?

Lowering the Waterlevel in the Drain or other?

Thanks allot.

Michi

The amount of flow inside the tank made by power heads has nothing to do with the amount of flow through the drain. That is entirely dependent on the output of the return pump and the size of the drain. If you have just the one 1"drain you will be limited to about 300gph (DURSO). Although you could convert it to a full siphon and get significantly more, without a backup drain it is a flood waiting to happen.
