Don't take this the wrong way, but this is one of the most confusing product lines I've ever seen. I just tried to buy some stuff, and....decided not to simple because I cannot distinguish between all this.

Majestic, Energetic, and Gigantic on the Double line.
Blended, Colossal, and Mixed on the Extreme line.

How do they differ? Do you have recommendations or can you help us figure out what to choose? They all seem to have the same description.

Sorry, yes the meat of the description is the same, the first entry details which species is in each blend. I have it on my things to do list to add a page to the site with the following explanation, except every time I try I cannot figure out how to add a page.

Basic breakdown, there are two distinct types of copepods.

Benthic (crawlers) we have Tigriopus, Tisbe, Apocyclops and our Harpa, and Pelagic (free swimming) we have Pseudo, Acartia and Parvo.

All pods eat algae, detritus and uneaten food, but IMO the Benthic are better micro CUC than the Pelagic. The Benthic are better suited to colonize your tank as well, I attribute this to the fact that they shelter more, where the Pelagic are more prone to being preyed upon heavily enough to limit their populations, Tigriopus while being Benthic hop around in a manner that draws attention to themselves which I also believe leads to their being the least likely Benthic pod to establish a sustained population.

The Benthic pods are my first recommendation to anyone wanting to establish pods in their tanks. This would be our Blended, Premium and Majestic double pods. Each contains Tugs, Tisbe and Apo. The premium adds rotifers without addition water to maintain the density of the pods vs the blended, Blended and Premium Extreme are the same pods with 1/2 the water making them twice as dense, and the Majestic is 1/2 Premium Extreme and 1/2 Harpa (a pod I isolated from an original purchase of what were sold as Acartia, Pseudo and Parvo but were actually wild caught relatives of the Tisbe only smaller and reproduce amazingly).

The Pelagic are what I recommend for any customer who has what I refer to as cruisers. These are high metabolism fish that endlessly “cruise” through the reef. Wrasses, Anthias, Cardinals etc. Due their need for a constant food source or multiple daily feeding schedules, our pelagic pods provide a readily available food supply for those types of fish. To get the most out of pelagic pods I recommend regular addition.

Are pelagic pods are the mixed, select (mixed with Rotifers) and Energetic (the 3 pelagic with Harpas).
