I bought a meteor shower cyphastrea frag and left it on the frag rack a little too long.. the coral has encrusted down under the plug and even onto the frag stem.
I want to glue it in place now before it gets any more overgrown.
Can I put epoxy and glue on the underside even though there is flesh and polyps there? Would it be better to cut the disk in half to expose a clean side and glue that to my rock work?

Yes you can glue it even though there is flesh, just glue over the flesh, it will hold.

I'm not sure what you mean by cutting the disk in half, but you can cut the stem off and just glue the flat part to the rock.
