Hi guys! We're a community that is known for helping others. We strive to be helpful and friendly and get good help to people who need it. As many of you know, we use hashtags to help get people with specific knowledge sets to posts where they can help out.

Today, we're in need of some of you to help us out with fish related questions by subscribing and responding to the hashtag #Fishexperts. Subscribing to this tag doesn't mean you know everything there is to know about every fish, but it might mean you know a lot about a particular kind or kinds of fish.

To help us out, just click on the hashtag #Fishexperts and then click "Watch" to follow the hashtag. That way, when the hashtag gets used, you'll get an alert. :) Thanks to all of you who will do this! We appreciate your help!

Also, for those with fishy questions, you can use the hashtag #Fishexperts to call people when you have a specialized question about a particular fish.

Does anyone have experienced keeping Yellow Coris Wrasses as a small group, or even better, mixed with Yellow and Purple Wrasses?
@evolved is our resident wrasse expert. He'll probably be able to help with this one

No reason why you can't follow the hashtag #reefsquad anyway and get alerts when it it used. Being a new reefer you might be able to help out another new reefer with a situation you might have just tackled yourself. Or maybe you don't know the answer yourself but you know someone who might and you can tag them in to help.

Also if you follow along with the Reef Squad tag it might help you advance yourself as a reefer by exposing you to new topics (mostly tank issues) and allowing you to learn from those experiences of others as well as the advice that is given in those situations so if you ever encounter those issues yourself you already have a knowledge base to go off of to help tackle it.

I think we should make a general fish questions / fish help section! Maybe even make separate Q and A megathreads for some of the more popular types of fish:

1. Angelfish Megathread

2. Butterflyfish Megathread

3. Tangs and Surgeonfish Megathread

4. Wrasses Megathread

5. Clownfish Megathread

6. Damselfish Megathread

7. Triggerfish Megathread

Etc.

More for general knowledge and Q and A > the “xxx Lovers”.

@evolved has done a great job with his Wrasses guide. I’d love to see the guide updated and I’d love similar formats for guides related to other groups of fish.

This would definitely be dope!! I'd love to see some people jump in and write guides to different types of fish. Heck, those could be some great articles for the forum community!

Yes, But I wrote it in Swahilli and made almost all of it up. :)

There are still one or two people who got into it the same year as I did. I think Jacques Cousteau was one of them. :p
