I can't help but spoil anything in my tank with food. If I'm target feeding and I even see a Nassarius snail zooming around, I'll drop a pellet right in front of him just because. Recently, my pitho crab has been on a slow downhill. All indications show that it's just old age. Since I'm out of office all week, where my tank is, I decided to give a nice one to the pitho, which might be his last meal with me. We'll see when I get back. Anyway, a whole piece of krill for this guy!

Yes, that is bubble algae growing on his/her head. Yes, pitho crabs are supposed to be doing away with bubble algae. Old fart.

I occasionally throw some algae wafers in when I don’t see a lot of algae anywhere. I try and place them in front of my conches but usually the hermits and even my nassarius snails (?), make off with them.
